ABC is developing a music competition series called Who’s In The Band featuring Simon Cowell as a judge alongside Joe Jonas, Mel B, and songwriter Savan Kotecha. Rei Ami, who voiced Zoey in Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, will host the show designed to find the next One Direction. The format features singers performing identical songs simultaneously in different colored tubes. A proof-of-concept taping is scheduled for October 30th at Eastbrook Studios in London. The test recording will not air on ABC and no series has yet been greenlit. This marks Cowell’s first judging role on an ABC reality series.
