Chris Brown has publicly addressed an ongoing custody dispute involving his four-year-old daughter, Lovely, and her mother, Diamond Brown. In an Instagram Story posted October 5, Brown said he had not seen his daughter for roughly seven months and described the financial support he says he provides for her care.
Diamond Brown responded to the situation with a different account. She said she has not kept Lovely from her father and maintained that opportunities for contact and participation in their daughter’s life have been available.
The disagreement follows court filings made earlier in 2026. Diamond sought legal and physical custody while proposing visitation for Brown. Brown later requested joint legal and physical custody.
Several mothers of Brown’s other children also publicly spoke in his defense, describing him as involved and supportive with their families.
The custody matter remains unresolved, with both parents presenting different accounts of their involvement, communication, and access concerning Lovely.
